Hydroforming
Hydroforming has been an important production technology for many years. Complex thin-walled lightweight components, for example for high performance applications, can be produced in a forming process using a liquid or gaseous medium.

In the hydroforming process, the press and tool are applied to the workpiece without internal pressure.
After closing the tool, the workpiece is filled from the inside and an initial pressure is built up. Only then does the process continue under increasing pressure, while at the same time the workpiece is pushed axially. Further pressure is used to calibrate the molded contour.
